–RAGBRAI made its way through Kossuth County on Tuesday, turning a handful of small towns into traveling Micropolitan areas for a few hours at a time. As riders made there way through Bancroft, they couldn’t miss Haydn and Gavin Laubenthal, who were doing some directional advertising on the street for Hager Foods. Haydn had a bullhorn and used it to bring in riders for burgers and steak sandwiches.
Despite the sweltering heat, Haydn was dressed in an inflatable cow costume while Gavin was inside of an inflatable Hamburger. The pair became such a hit that they were sought out by countless riders for photo opportunities throughout the day.
Vendors were open from 8AM-2PM in Bancroft Tuesday, and the boys were in costume for the majority of that time.
Riders will have another steamy day on their hands today, as they leave Forest City and head to Iowa Falls for the night.
