–Work has begun on a project to widen the intersection of McGregor and Hale Streets in Algona. Deputy City Administrator Barb Smith tells KLGA News that intersection sees a lot of traffic during the schoolyear, and they want to help alleviate any congestion in the area when students are coming and going to school.
Smith says the work will have a slight impact on traffic in that area while the work is taking place.
