–Grant applications can now be submitted to the Kossuth County Community Foundation for their 2025 funding cycle. Area non-profit agencies and government organizations that serve Kossuth County residents can apply for funding from the foundation through October 15th. Shanda Hansen serves as the Director of Affiliate Impact for the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, and she tells KLGA News they will host a grant writing workshop next week to assist those applying for funding, focusing on a couple of important topics.

The workshop is designed to be beneficial to any group seeking grant funding.

She also says that making your grant application the best it possibly can be could make a big difference

Hansen says they don’t want to see applicants miss out on funding simply because of a couple mistakes.

The grant writing workshop will be held on Tuesday, September 9th from 11:30 AM-1 PM at Pharmacists Mutual in Algona. Participants are asked to RSVP online at www.cfneia.org/events. The online grant application is available at www.kossuthccf.org, as applications will be accepted until 5 PM on October 15th. Anyone with questions about their application can contact Dottie Thompson at 319-243-1358.
