–No injuries were reported following a 2-vehicle collision south of Wesley Friday morning.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 81-year-old Ronald Hauser of Grinnell was travelling west bound on County Road B40 in a 2013 Cadillac XTS around 10:45 AM.
The accident report states that Hauser failed to yield at the intersection with County Road R14, a mile south of Wesley, and struck a 1997 Peterbilt Semi driven by Adam Aggen of Rushmore, Minnesota. Aggen told Deputies that he saw the Hauser vehicle as it approached the intersection and took evasive action when he saw the driver failed to stop at the stop sign.
Both drivers and a passenger in the Hauser vehicle were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, with no injuries reported.
Damage to the semi was estimated at $20,000 while damage to the Cadillac was estimated at $15,000.
