–The Algona Active Senior Center is currently collecting coats and other winter items in an effort to help those in need this year. Cheryl McCann with the Senior Center tells KLGA News this is the 4th straight year they have held this coat drive.
McCann says if you have a coat that you no longer use sitting in the closet you would be willing to part with, you can bring it down to the Senior Center at 1306 N. Main Street.
The coats will be distributed throughout the winter months beginning on November 3rd.
If you have an item you would like to donate but can’t make it in to drop it off, you can contact the Senior Center by calling 515-295-7956 to make other arrangements.
