–The Audi Crooks Foundation is offering a way to assist Kossuth County families who could lose their SNAP benefits on November 1st due to the federal government shutdown.
The foundation is offering care packages for families in need that can be dropped off at their home. Anyone who would like a care package just needs to fill out the form available www.audicrooksfoundation.org/knock-n-dash on the foundation’s website.
The form asks how many people live in the home and what age groups they fall into, and once it is submitted, a care package will be put together with those numbers in mind.-
Statistics from www.americanprogress.org estimate nearly 900 residents of Kossuth County receive snap benefits, representing just over 6% of the population.
