A Dozen AHS Musicians Earn All-State Honors

–Twelve Algona High School musicians were recently selected to participate in the 79th annual Iowa All-State Music Festival that will be held later this month. The students were selected following auditions held in LeMars on Saturday, October 25th.

Six of the students were selected to participate in the All-State Band, two were named to the All-State Orchestra, while four more were named to the All-State Chorus.

Those selected for the All-State Band performance include: Cassidy Bierstedt, Abigail Droessler, Catherine Hart, Paul Kissinger, Owen Orban, and Ethan Orban.

All-State Orchestra members include David Kissinger and Axel Mortenson, while Kenneth Blair, Elijah Garrett, Natalee Reemtsma, and Mada Steburg were selected to the All-State Chorus.

Each of the honorees will participate in the 79th annual All-State Music Festival that will be held November 20-22 in Ames.
