–The snow and cold temperatures should make it feel like the holiday season as downtown Algona prepares for the annual “Live Greeting Card Windows” event this evening. Amy Whitacre with the Algona Area Chamber of Commerce tells KLGA News this is the 35th year for the event which will run from 6:30-8 this evening.
If you plan on coming out, Whitacre says there will be some fun events for all ages this evening.
Whitacre says they hope people will stop out and enjoy a fun evening in downtown Algona.
Live Greeting Card Windows will get started as the Tacos for Tots fundraising meal wraps up at the Algona First United Methodist Church. That event begins around 4 PM, serving up tacos and a dessert for a free will donation, with proceeds benefitting the Kossuth County CARE Team.
