Ruthven Man Facing Drug and Weapons Charges

–A Palo Alto County man is facing additional drug and weapons charges after being taken into custody early last week.

According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies executed a pair of arrest warrants for 43-year-old Jeremy James Bowman of Ruthven around 12:15 PM on Tuesday, November 25th. The first warrant charged Bowman with Disorderly Conduct and Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device stemming from an incident back in August.

The 2nd stemmed from an alleged incident on November 23rd that charged Bowman with Assault while Displaying a Dangerous Weapon and 4th Degree Criminal Mischief.

Deputies subsequently executed a search warrant at a rural Ruthven residence and added drug and weapons charges against Bowman. As a result of the search, Bowman has now been charged with Control of a Firearm or Offensive Weapon by a Felon-2nd offense, a Class D Felony. He has also been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance—Marijuana (1st offense) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, both serious misdemeanors.

Bowman was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
