–The Palo Alto County Community Foundation is hosting an event this evening at the Shores in Emmetsburg for non-profit organizations that serve area residents. Terry Gaumer serves as the Affiliate Charitable Impact Director for the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, the parent organization of the Palo Alto County Community Foundation. Gaumer tells KLGA News the event is geared towards non-profit board members, volunteers and donors.

The come and go event will feature a short presentation, but Gaumer says the biggest part of the evening is simply putting all these groups into the same room.

Gaumer says the Palo Alto County Community Foundation is a little different since the county has a licensed casino, as they do not have a grant cycle each year.

The event begins at 6PM inside The Shores at Five Island. As part of the event, any gift made by a donor to a new or existing agency fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the foundation, up to $5,000. Non-profit organizations are encouraged to RSVP to the invitation they received. For more information, check out www.palaltoccf.org.
