–Officials with Iowa State University Extension in Kossuth and Hancock counties are teaming up to provide valuable information to farm families who may be looking to move the business from one generation to the next. Meredith Nelson is a Program Coordinator with the Kossuth County Extension Office, and she tells KLGA News this workshop will focus on how these families can plan their estate and build their succession plan.

Nelson says the workshop aims to give families the help they need with an important, yet difficult discussion.

Registration is $75/person for the two-day event, plus $40 for each additional family member, with a maximum family cost of $200. Preregistration is required due to limited space. Nelson says they usually have good crowds at these seminars when they have been held in previous years.

Deadline to register is Friday, January 9th. For more information or to register, you can contact the Kossuth County Extension office at 515-295-2469 or the Hancock County Extension office at 641-923-2856.
