Iowa Lottery CEO Matt Strawn says sales have picked up as they head toward the midpoint of their fiscal year.
Speaking to the Lottery Commission at their meeting Tuesday, Strawn says sales are nearly $193 million through November.
Proceeds turned over to the state are more than $41 million through November.
Two large Powerball jackpots have lifted up sales in the last few months.
Strawn the sales increase comes as a drought for mega jackpots ended.
Strawn says the September Powerball jackpot that grew to $1.8 billion dollars before it was won and the current Powerball jackpot is over the $1 billion mark as well.
