–A Webster County man was taken into custody following a rollover accident in the Lu Verne area last week.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies received the report of a one vehicle accident along County Road P60 near Lu Verne around 4:45 AM on Thursday, December 18th.
Deputies were able to locate a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country mini-van involved in the accident, and began to talk with the driver, identified as 21-year-old Brandon Garcia Antonio of Badger.
A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court states that the Deputy at the scene could smell alcohol while talking to Antonio and observed he had bloodshot eyes. Deputies conducted a field sobriety test, along with a breathalyzer exam, which registered above the legal limit.
Antonio was arrested on charges of OWI 2nd Offense, an aggravated misdemeanor. He was also cited for failure to maintain control and driving under suspension before being booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
Online records show Antonio is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Kossuth County District Court on Monday, December 29th.
