–A Humboldt man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly breaking into a rural residence Tuesday morning.

According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office, a 911 call came in just after 8:30 AM Tuesday from a man reporting that his wife was at their rural residence east of Humboldt and reporting that an unknown male had broken into the home.

Deputies responded to the home, around 4 miles east of Humboldt, but the suspect had left the area by the time they arrived. An updated report on the suspect gave law enforcement information that he had left the scene in a black Cadillac Escalade.

Deputies were able to locate the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, where they arrested 30-year-old Tyler Dille of Humboldt. He is being charged with 2nd degree burglary, a class C felony, and OWI.

Dille was additionally charged with possession of stolen property, a class D felony, after deputies learned the Cadillac he was driving had been reported stolen from the Fort Dodge area earlier Tuesday morning.

Dille was booked into the Humboldt County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
