–The filmmakers behind “Silent Night in Algona” have a new movie that will be shown at the State Five Theatre this weekend. Shane Hagedorn is the Director, Co-Producer, and one of the stars in “Wild Faith Christmas”, a sequel to their 2018 film “Wild Faith”. Hagedorn tells KLGA News the film centers on the real-life orphan train that operated over a century ago.
Filming took place in parts of Northern Michigan, as Hagedorn says they wanted to find areas that still resemble what life was like during the era depicted in the movie, like they did when they filmed in Kossuth County for Silent Night in Algona.
Wild Faith Christmas will be in Algona for about a week, and Hagedorn hopes area residents will stop out and see the film.
Since “Wild Faith Christmas” is a sequel, Hagedorn suggests checking out “Wild Faith” to make sure you’re up to date on the storylines. “Wild Faith” can be found on a variety of streaming services, including Tubi and Amazon Prime.
