–An Emmetsburg man is facing multiple drug related charges after law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at a residence in rural Palo Alto County late last week.
According to the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies executed a search warrant at 3484 440th Avenue, about 2 miles northwest of Emmetsburg, around 12:15 PM on Thursday, January 29th. Following the search, Deputies arrested 41-year-old Casey Ryan Peterson of Emmetsburg.
Peterson is being charged with Possession of Stolen Property (Class D Felony), Possession of Methamphetamine (1st offense) and Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs, both Serious Misdemeanors. He is also being charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor.
Peterson was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Union County Sheriff’s Office in South Dakota and Palo Alto County Emergency Management.
