–Iowa Lakes Community College is establishing a scholarship fund to honor the life of a student-athlete who was killed in a bus crash earlier this month. The Iowa Lakes Foundation recently announced the Carter “Tater” Johnson fund following the recent tragedy involving the Lakers Baseball team.
The memorial scholarship has been created to ensure Carter’s legacy continues to make a difference in the lives of future Iowa Lakes students, and contributions to the fund will support the establishment and growth of a scholarship awarded in his memory.
Additional details regarding the scholarship’s criteria and awarding will be announced as the fund is established.
