–An Algona woman suffered minor injuries after losing control of her vehicle and striking a utility box along Highway 18 late last week.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 30-year-old Theresa Marie Mayer of Algona was westbound on Highway 18 in a 2016 Jeep Cherokee just before 5:30 AM on Friday, March 6th. The accident report states that Mayer lost control for an unknown reason and entered the north ditch before striking an electrical box owned by Alliant Energy.
Mayer told Deputies she did not remember what happened and take medication to treat epilepsy.
She was taken to Kossuth Regional Health Center by Kossuth County EMS for treatment of minor injuries. Damage to her vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
