–A Fenton man is facing a domestic assault charge following an alleged incident earlier this week.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to the report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Fenton just after 8:45 PM Monday (April 6). After conducting a brief investigation, Deputies arrested 39-year-old David Jacinto De Leon on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury or Mental Illness, a Serious Misdemeanor.
A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court states that the victim called authorities, saying she had been assaulted by her husband. The complaint alleges that De Leon hit the victim multiple times with his hands and feet before he was arrested without incident.
De Leon was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Online records show he is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on April 17th. Court records also show a no contact order has been issued to prevent De Leon from having any contact with the alleged victim in this case.
