–Kossuth Regional Health Center will add a new board-certified gynecologist along with a pair of foot and ankle specialists to their roster of healthcare providers in May.
The Algona facility announced the addition of Dr. Thoo Tan, DO, to their medical staff on Monday.
Dr. Tan comes to KRHC from MercyOne in Mason City, where he also provided Obstetric and Gynecological care. He left his home in Malaysia at the age of 17 to pursue educational opportunities in the United States, earning an undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from Minnesota State University in Mankato before attending Des Moines University for medical school.
Dr. Tan will join the Family Medicine Clinic in Algona next month and is already accepting new patients.
Along with the addition of Dr. Tan, area residents will also be able to see a pair of new Podiatrists next month. Dr. Alexxis Cary and Dr. Curtis Marker from East Village Foot and Ankle Surgeons will begin seeing patients in the Algona Specialty Clinic on Friday’s.
East Village Foot and Ankle Surgeons, based in Ankeny, provide a full range of services to diagnose and treat foot and ankle conditions.
