–There will be a new company in charge of the Midway carnival at the Kossuth County Fair this year. Fair Board member Morgan Wagner says they were able to meet this new company at the Association of Iowa Fairs annual convention.
The new company will be in Algona to see the fairgrounds with their own eyes next month.
Wagner says one of the biggest concerns the board has with any carnival provider is safety.
The fair board will be launching a fundraising effort in the coming weeks to make the carnival even more accessible this year.
The fair board will send out sponsor letters to area businesses in the coming days in support of this effort. Wagner says they hope fair supporters will get behind the effort.
The 2026 Kossuth County Fair will run August 4th-8th, with the midway carnival set to open on the evening of the 4th following the annual fair parade.
