According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to a reported disturbance in Wesley just after 6 PM on Friday, April 24th. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted a brief investigation and arrested 52-year-old Cristian Lee Garrett on a charge of Assault-Insulting or Offensive Contact, a Simple Misdemeanor.
A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court alleges that Garrett began arguing with a neighbor over open space in their apartment complex. During the argument, Garrett allegedly spit in the victim’s face and directed degrading comments towards them.
Garrett was booked into the Kossuth County Jail. He is scheduled to have a non-jury trial on June 5th.
A no contact order has also been issued to prevent Garrett from having any contact with the alleged victim in the case.
