–A North Carolina man was cited after his vehicle left the road and crashed into a farm field in rural Kossuth County last week.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 53-year-old Sean McMahon of Knotts Island, North Carolina was southbound on 160th Avenue in a 2014 Dodge Ram truck around 12:30 AM on Thursday, April 30th.
The accident report states that McMahon lost control of his vehicle for an unknown reason, leaving the roadway on the east side, eventually striking a farm drive and crashing into a field.
McMahon did not report the accident for several hours after it occurred, and when questioned by Deputies, had no recollection of the event.
Damage to his truck was estimated at $20,000. McMahon was cited for failure to maintain control and leaving the scene of an accident.
