–Tate Garman homered at the plate while allowing no hits and striking out 8 on the mound for Algona as the Bulldogs opened the 2026 campaign with a 17-0 win over Iowa Falls-Alden in just 4 innings. Garman had 3 hits at the plate, driving in 4 runs, while Dawson Elsbecker also added 3 hits, driving in 3, while Levi Walker had a pair of hits and 3 RBI’s.
The 2nd game of the scheduled double-header had to be postponed due to weather, with Algona leading 3-0 in the 3rd inning. That game will resume on Wednesday.
