–Kossuth County Emergency Management is teaming up with area libraries to offer a place for area residents to beat the heat this week. Emergency Management Coordinator Charissa Mueller tells KLGA News they hope anyone who needs a place to cool down will take advantage.

Mueller says this partnership works well since it includes each of the 10 public libraries located around Kossuth County.

Heat index values are forecasted to be over 100 degrees again today with warm and humid conditions lingering over the next several days.

Mueller says library hours vary, so make sure and check to see when your local library is open before heading there to cool down.
