–A Wesley man is facing a felony level charge after reports indicate he was driving while intoxicated late last week.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies received the report of a drunk driver in Wesley just before 3 PM on Friday, July 10th. The report identified the driver as 58-year-old Leonard Michael Aadland and stated that he appeared to be intoxicated.
Law Enforcement received another call around that time, stating that Aadland was driving around Wesley, and the caller knew he did not have a valid license.
Deputies located Aadland as he was trying to move his vehicle from the street to his garage, at which time they conducted a field sobriety test.
Aadland was arrested on charges of OWI-3rd or Subsequent Offense, a Class D Felony, along with Driving while License Denied or Revoked, a Serious Misdemeanor. He was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
Court records show that Aadland is scheduled to have a preliminary court hearing on July 21st.
