–The Kossuth County Saddle Club is joining in the effort to support an area child who’s battling a rare neurological disorder by hosting a fundraising event Saturday. Jason Besch is helping to organize the Down N’ Dirty races at the Kossuth County Speedway, featuring barrel and pole races, but using ATV/UTV’s and Dirt Bikes instead of horses.
Besch says they have some rules in place to make sure everyone stays safe while having fun and raising funds for this local family.
There is also an open division for all ages that will run $20 and participants can start getting their tickets at 4 PM.
Ryker Stone is a 3-year-old from Whittemore who was diagnosed with Leigh Syndrome this spring, a genetic disorder that affects the central nervous system. A fundraiser was held earlier this month to benefit the family, who have traveled to the east coast this summer to meet with doctors.
