–The 2026 Kossuth County Fair kicks off in just a few days with plenty of entertainment planned for all ages, and a lot of it comes at no cost. Morgan Wagner with the Fair Board tells KLGA News that they plan on having a few foam parties on Wednesday, August 5th.
Wednesday night is also the free barbecue meal that is sponsored by area businesses. Wagner says Thursday will feature dirt track racing at the grandstand.
Wagner says they are adding something to Friday’s demolition derby and bus races that should be entertaining for everyone.
Along with all the entertainment, the midway carnival is completely free this year thanks to several area business and individual sponsors. Wagner says if you want to save time trying to find a place to park near the fairgrounds, you can take the shuttle each evening from the Algona High School parking lot.
