The Algona Municipal Utilities Board of Trustees recently looked at a study that will recommend a slight increase in electric rates next year. AMU General John Bilsten tells KLGA News the study is something they look at on a frequent basis.

The AMU Board discussed the study during their meeting in early August, and Bilsten says it provides the trustees a picture of where there electric rates currently sit.

Bilsten says the study does recommend a slight increase in electric rates for AMU customers

The AMU Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on the proposed rate increases during their meeting on Wednesday, September 2nd , at 11am in Algona.
