–Fans attending Bishop Garrigan’s home game this evening with Riceville will get a chance to enjoy the new bleachers at Conway Field for the first time under the Friday night lights. Bishop Garrigan President Christy Petersen updated members of the public on the progress they have made over the last year with their capital campaign, which funded this renovation project.
The Bishop Garrigan Capital Campaign has raised over $5.2 million thus far, with a goal of just over $9 million in total. The building project to expand the Seton Grade school is on track to be completed by next August. Peterson says when they reach the next milestone in the campaign, they can begin work on a new bus barn near the Garrigan campus. Other planned building projects include bathroom upgrades, additional parking near the Garrigan chapel, and a new weight room/multi-purpose area.
