–The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors are taking steps to replace County Engineer Doug Miller who announced his resignation earlier this month. During their meeting Tuesday, the board held discussion with Assistant County Engineer Doug Crouch to see if he would be interested in covering the position on an interim basis while they interview possible replacements. Crouch says he would consider filling in on an interim basis while also encouraging the board to try and find Miller’s permanent replacement as quickly as possible.
Miller submitted his resignation on September 14th to pursue an offer in the private sector. The board has posted the job opening, with applications being accepted until the job is filled. Miller has been the Kossuth County Engineer since January of 2009. His last day with the county will be October 16th.
