–The Kossuth County Ag & Motorsports Museum is trying to secure grant funding to add more space to the facility. Ron Reefer addressed the Algona City Council Monday evening on behalf of the museum to discuss the project.

Reefer says the new addition will be incorporating more of Iowa’s racing history to go along with the current exhibits.

Reefer says the facility sees close to 300 visitors every month.

Reefer says they anticipate the addition will bring in even more visitors to the area.

Community Attraction and Tourism (CAT) Grants are handed out by the Iowa Economic Development Authority to assist projects that provide recreational, cultural, entertainment and educational attractions. The next set of grants will be awarded in August, with another round set to go out in November.
