Algona Native Selected to District Court

–An Algona native and Bishop Garrigan graduate has been appointed by Governor Kim Reynolds as a District Associate Judge.

According to a release from the Governors Office, Ashley Beisch has been named to fill the vacant seat in Judicial Election District 2B, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of District Associate Judge James Malloy.

Beisch is a 2009 graduate of Bishop Garrigan. Following High School she attended Drake University in Des Moines, where she completed her undergraduate work in 2013. She stayed at Drake for Law School, graduating in 2016.

Beisch, who lives in Boone, currently serves as an Assistant County Attorney in Webster County.

Judicial Election District 2B includes Boone, Calhoun, Carroll, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Humboldt, Marshall, Pocahontas, Sac, Story, Webster, and Wright counties.
