–A Lone Rock man suffered minor injuries when the semi he was driving left the road and overturned Monday afternoon near Whittemore.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, 38-year-old Andrew Michael Beschorner was traveling southbound in a 2020 Freightliner semi, about 2 miles southeast of Whittemore just before 2 PM Monday. While traveling in the 1900 block of 40th avenue, Beschorner lost control of the semi and entered the west ditch where the vehicle overturned.
Beschorner was taken by Algona EMS to Kossuth Regional Health Center with what were described as non-incapacitating injuries. The accident report states he was wearing a seatbelt at the time.
The truck was considered to be a total loss, with damage estimated at $250,000. Whittemore Fire and EMS along with Algona EMS assisted the Sheriff’s Department at the scene.
