Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis brought his campaign to Kossuth County over the weekend, making a stop at the Algona VFW Saturday morning. The Florida Governor is subtly urging Iowa Caucus goers to focus on the 2024 election rather than on former President Donald Trump’s indictments.
DeSantis says last Wednesday’s debate has kicked off a new phase of the campaign.
DeSantis also talked about his plan to aid small businesses that are the lifeblood of rural Iowa.
DeSantis also made a stop in Garner Saturday afternoon and is about halfway through his plan to visit each of Iowa’s 99 counties prior to the caucuses in January.
