–The City of Algona and the entire State of Iowa are at a loss for words and in a state of shock following the death of Algona Police Officer Kevin Cram Wednesday night. Algona Mayor Rick Murphy says the city is doing everything they can to support Officer Cram’s family and the members of the Algona Police Department.
Murphy says the public has stepped up to honor Officer Cram’s legacy.
Murphy says even through these difficult times, the officers at the Algona Police Department remain committed to serving the public.
Officer Cram’s body was returned to Algona on Friday following an autopsy at the Iowa State Medical Examiners Office in Ankeny. Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Personnel from agencies across the state escorted the fallen officer on the trip home.
