–The suspect in the murder of Algona Police Officer Kevin Cram will make his first court appearance in Kossuth County Court this afternoon.
The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office says 43-year-old Kyle Lou Ricke will make an initial court appearance Thursday afternoon. He has been held in the Brown County Jail in New Ulm, Minnesota for the last week, after he was apprehended by law enforcement in that state on the night of the shooting.
Ricke has waived an extradition hearing in Minnesota, and will make his initial appearance in Kossuth County District Court at 3:30 PM. He is accused of shooting Officer Kevin Cram just before 8PM on Wednesday, September 13th. Cram died of his injuries, as his funeral was held yesterday.
