–The Tietz Entrepreneurial Center of Iowa Lakes Community College is offering a handful of courses this fall aimed at improving individual skills and helping businesses grow. Shelly Brown is the Coordinator for the Tietz Center, and she tells KLGA News the first course will help people become more efficient at using Microsoft Excel.
Two more Excel training sessions will be offered, with the Level 2 course being held on October 3rd and 5th, and the Level 3 course on October 10th and 12th. The Level 2 course is aimed at people who already have a foundational knowledge of the Excel program, and the Level 3 course is for experienced Excel users. Brown says another course will help small businesses with their marketing strategies.
Each of the Excel courses will be held on the Emmetsburg Campus of Iowa Lakes. There will also be a pair of courses held on October 12th, each dealing with using Google to grow your business.
The Google classes will be held at the Algona campus of Iowa Lakes. Brown says they will have another Google related course coming up in November. You can find course descriptions and related fees for each class online at www.iowalakes.edu/ce and going to the Business & Entrepreneurship tab, or call 1-800-252-5664.
