–The organizers of the annual Community Thanksgiving meal in Algona are looking for a new generation of leaders to step up and keep the event going. Rodney Davis has served as a co-chair for the event, and he tells KLGA News he and his fellow co-chairs have been looking to pass the torch to new leaders for a few years now.

The event offers a traditional Thanksgiving meal for those who may not have the option of preparing one themselves, and Davis says they see a good crowd each year.

Davis says the event needs two or three people/families to step up and serve as co-chairs so it can continue in the years to come.

Anyone who might be interested in learning more about the Community Thanksgiving meal and what it takes to organize the event, can contact Davis at 515-320-0153.
