–The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors set the date and time for a public hearing to receive comments on a proposed amendment to the county’s zoning ordinance that would regulate the transportation of hazardous liquids through a pipeline during a special meeting Thursday morning. County Engineer Doug Miller held draft the resolution for the board, and reminded them this public hearing could draw a large crowd.
The board set the public hearing for 10AM on Tuesday, November 21st at the Kossuth County Election Center. The County Planning and Zoning Commission made recommendations to the Supervisors earlier this year with regards to regulating hazardous liquid pipelines, but the board has yet to take action on those recommendations.
