There are no contested races in Algona for Mayor, City Council or School Board. There is one name on the ballot for each of the 4 seats up for election on the Algona City Council, Rick Murphy is running unopposed for another 2-year term as Mayor, and there are four incumbents seeking the 4 seats up for election on the Algona School Board.
The North Kossuth School Board will need at least 2 write-in candidates today. Justin Deim is the only name on the ballot for 2 spots in District #1, and there are no names on the ballot to fill the remaining 2-years of a vacancy in District #2. Autumn Morphew is unopposed for the one full-term in District #2, and Christopher Hardt is unopposed for the Director At-Large seat.

–Bancroft Mayor Thomas Johnson is unopposed in his bid for reelection, while a write-in candidate will be needed to fill the City Council, as Jeffrey Theisen is the only name on the ballot for 2 seats.
–Burt has a contested race for City Council, with 9 people seeking three seats. Incumbents Connie Kadow, Mary Melick and Randy Wood are being challenged by Robin Ann VanLangingham, Joseph Heyes, Vicki Briggs, Christopher Michael Heyes, Harold Lavrenz and Kenny O’Leary.
–Fenton Mayor Gene Miller is running unopposed, while six people are seeking 2 seats on the City Council. Incumbent Sandi Del Rosso is running, along with Alex Suave, Jeffrey Clabaugh, Tim Peterson, Rhonda Cash and Ryan Harms.
–Lakota Mayor Nathan Heidecker is unopposed in seeking reelection, while Rick Meyer, Royce Janssen and Chance Sahr are running for the 2 seats up for grabs on the City Council.
–Ledyard has 3 seats open on the City Council that will be filled by write-in candidates, as there are no names on the ballot today. Royce Valvick is running unopposed to fill a 2-year term on council.
–Lone Rock will need a write-in candidate for Mayor, with no names on the ballot for that 2-year term. Jerry Nerem, Dennis Wilberg, Shannon Doocy and Jason Brace are all running for the 3 seats on the city council.
–Lu Verne has no contested races, as Mayor Kevin McPeak is running unopposed for reelection, while Dennis Carroll, Kelsey Casey and Scott Frideres are running for the 3 seats available on the city council.
–Swea City has six people on the ballot for 3 seats on the city council, as incumbent Lupe Kollasch is joined by Mark Geerdes, Shelly Geerdes, Zachary Long, Dustin Sobolik and Andy Donnelly.
–Titonka Mayor David LaGue is unopposed for reelection, while Sara Hamilton and Michael Fredrickson are the only names on the ballot to fill three open seats on the city council.
–Wesley Mayor Craig Larson is unopposed in seeking another term, while David Reding, Phillip Ricke, Theresa Earles and Joella Leider are running for the 3 open seats on the city council.
–In Whittemore, incumbents Rebecca Lancaster, Tim Schneider and Rodney Johnson are the three names on the ballot for the 3 open seats on the city council.
