–If someone on your holiday shopping list enjoys homemade woodcarving projects, you can check out the newly created items that are currently up for bid from the Kossuth County “Chips Off the Old Block” group at the Algona Public Library. Spokesman Ron Matz tells KLGA News that they use this auction to help fund children’s activities through several local non-profit groups.

Matz says the items will be on display through the middle of December, so you have time to check them out at the library.

Matz says they have items both big and small on the auction for people to bid on this month.

Bids will be accepted through December 16th at the Algona Public Library. Anyone who would like to learn more about the group, whether you’re a woodworking enthusiast or not, is encouraged to attend the next meeting of the Chips Off the Old Block, which will be held Thursday, January 18th at the POW Museum.
