Three Facing Charges of Attempted Burglary

–Three area residents are facing charges of attempted burglary following an alleged incident Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Algona Police Department, Officers responded to a call just after 3:45 PM Tuesday, and after a brief investigation, arrested 24-year-old Richard Vasquez, 46-year-old Lorraine Newman and 43-year-old Justin Terwilliger on charges 3^rd Degree Attempted Burglary, an aggravated misdemeanor.

Vasquez was also arrested on a valid warrant out of Woodbury County in western Iowa.

Online court records show Vasquez and Terwilliger are scheduled to have preliminary hearings in Kossuth County District court on Friday, January 5^th.
