–Area stargazers will have the chance to learn more about constellations in the sky and some of the mythology behind them during a program at the Water’s Edge Nature Center next week. Kossuth County Naturalist Billie Willie tells KLGA News they will be bringing back the Star Lab on Wednesday, January 24th.
Willie says after the program, you’ll have an idea about what you can see in the night sky this time of year.
Willie says you will need to call ahead and reserve your spot inside the Star Lab because space is limited.
Willie says she will highlight some of the unique constellations that are visible this time of year that you might not know about.
The program will begin at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, January 24th at the Water’s Edge Nature Center. They recommend children be at least 9-years of age, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. To reserve a place inside the Star Lab, you can call the Nature Center at 515-295-2138.
