The man challenging 4th District Congressman Randy Feenstra in this summer’s GOP Primary made a campaign stop in Algona on Wednesday. After hosting an event at the Feed Mill, Kevin Virgil spoke with KLGA News to discuss why he is launching a primary challenge against a sitting member of Congress.
Virgil says that with his experience, he feels he brings more to the table for the district.
Virgil also highlighted some of the concerns he is hearing from voters as he campaigns in Iowa.
Virgil hails from the small O’Brien County town of Gaza, and has been endorsed by former Congressman Steve King. Feenstra ousted King from his Congressional seat during the 2020 GOP primary, and has announced he is seeking a 3rd term this November.
