Estherville Man Facing Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

–A traffic stop in rural Emmet County late last week resulted in multiple drug related charges against an Estherville man.

According to the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies conducted the traffic stop along Iowa Highway 4 near Wallingford just after 3:30 PM last Wednesday. The stop was initiated when Deputies spotted the vehicle was driving with expired registration, and upon further investigation, the presence of controlled substances was detected in the vehicle.

Deputies arrested the driver, identified as 22-year-old Kenneth Burrow of Estherville, and transported him to the Emmet County Jail.

Law Enforcement then obtained a search warrant for Burrow’s residence in Estherville, where more controlled substances and paraphernalia were discovered.

Burrow is facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)-1st Offense, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Psilocybin Mushrooms)-1st offense as well as Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was booked into the Emmet County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
