–Emergency personnel from 3 counties in Iowa and one in Minnesota will converge on Armstrong for a training exercise Wednesday afternoon.
Kossuth County Emergency Management Director Charissa Mueller says that the multi-jurisdictional exercise will be held at the North Union School in Armstrong Wednesday, beginning at 3 PM. The training event will feature law enforcement and first responders from Kossuth, Palo Alto, and Emmet Counties in Iowa, along with Martin County in Minnesota.
Mueller says they want the public to be aware of the training exercise, so they don’t think some sort of emergency event is taking place at the school that would require that type of response. She also says they expect the exercise to be completed around 4:30 PM Wednesday.
