–A Titonka man is facing multiple charges following an incident in the rural Burt area Sunday morning.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to a request for assistance near Burt around 9:15 AM Sunday. After conducting a brief investigation, Deputies arrested 42-year-old Beau Tremaine Berge of Titonka on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance-2nd Offense, Domestic Abuse Assault and Domestic Abuse Assault while Displaying a Weapon.
A criminal complaint filed in Kossuth County District Court alleges Berge struck the victim, attempted to remove the victim from a vehicle and chased the victim while displaying a knife. Deputies contend they found the knife and methamphetamine while conducting a search of the suspect.
Berge was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Court records show a no contact order has been issued to prevent any contact between Berge and the alleged victim in the case.
