–A Spencer man is facing a felony charge after being taken into custody early Wednesday morning at ABATE Park.
According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to a request for assistance at ABATE Park around 3:30 AM Wednesday. After conducting a brief investigation, Deputies arrested 26-year-old Austin David Chinn of Spencer on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault—Impeding Air/Blood Flow Causing Bodily Injury, a Class D Felony.
Chinn was booked into the Kossuth County Jail to await an initial court appearance. Online court records show he is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Kossuth County District Court on Friday, July 12th.
Court records also show a No Contact Order has been issued to prevent Chinn from having any contact with the alleged victim in this case.
