–The price of breakfast and lunch for students in the Algona Community School District will be going up in the 2024-2025 school year. The Algona School Board approved the increase at their meeting last week. Superintendent Joe Carter addressed the board, and he says it costs more to feed the district’s students now than it did the last time the prices were increased.
Carter says the district’s meal prices have remained the same since before the pandemic.
The prices for adult meals will also increase by 10-cents, with an adult breakfast costing $2.05 and lunch $4.85.
